Each year St. John the Baptist Catholic School hosts a Jog-A-Thon in which the students actively participate to raise money for necessary school improvement projects. Since tuition only covers our basic operating expenses, the school relies heavily on fundraisers such as the Jog-A-Thon to raise funds for such projects.
This year's Jog-A-Thon takes place on Friday, April 8, 2022.
This year, our fundraising goal is $65,000 which is the BIGGEST fundraising goal for this event ever!! BIG goals go with BIG objectives. We are so excited to announce that this years fundraising will be used to purchase a BIG Kid's Kingdom! This playground, designed by Berliner, features a play castle, net climbers, ropes, slides and swings which will offer so much fun and imagination to our students. A BIG Kid's Kingdom is a great way for our kids to continue to be kids and it promotes the physical, mental and social development of our students! So this year, help us "Play BIG" and donate online to support our BIG cause!!
Money raised on previous Jog-A-Thons was used to complete our Makerspace (STREAM) Room. In this classroom, students in grades TK-8 are able to work using both high tech robotics and 3D printers as well as a variety of other hands-on materials including LEGO®, peg boards, and blocks to collaboratively solve problems. Jog-A-Thon funds have also been used to upgrade technology, expand the Music curriculum, improve the school library and student bathrooms, and install a large shade structure over the playground.
