Each year St. John the Baptist Catholic School hosts a Jog-A-Thon in which the students actively participate to raise money for necessary school improvement projects. Since tuition only covers our basic operating expenses, the school relies heavily on fundraisers such as the Jog-A-Thon to raise funds for such projects.
This year's Jog-A-Thon will be held on Friday, March 31st
This year SJB students are raising money to purchase a marquee for families to stay up to date on events, a portable softball backstop for the students to enjoy and finally begin fundraising to start the process to build a GYM! Building a gym entails several detailed steps and this is our first step to making a gym a reality here at SJB. Our fundraising goal is $50,000.
At SJB our annual Jog-A-Thon is more than running laps for 30 minutes while listening to parents cheer as music plays. The Jog-A-Thon motivates students to participate in raising money to enrich their own educational experience and school environment with items and programs not covered by the traditional tuition expenses.

The money raised by previous Jog-A-Thons has been used to build Saint City, a playground that has been enjoyed by all students this school year. Students have benefited from the creation of our Makerspace (STEM Lab) which is outfitted with 3D printers, a green screen, Ozobots, LEGO® Mindstorm and Snap Circuits Kits, as well as a variety of other hands-on materials used to collaboratively solve problems. In addition, Jog-A-Thon funds have been used to upgrade technology, expand our Music curriculum, improve the school library and student bathrooms, and install a large shade structure over the playground.
